Katherine writes about health and the environment, along with the more illusory realms of the self and earth. A contributing research editor at National Geographic, she has a background as a scientific writer for global health and environmental NGOs. She holds an MA in Global Development & Anthropology from the University of Sydney and guest lectures on creative and scientific storytelling for her alma mater the University of Washington. Her writing has been performed onstage & podcast by NYC Liars League, and has appeared in Nature Reviews and The Rumpus. Katherine lives in Seattle, on the Salish Sea, where she grew up. She calls New Zealand her second home.
